Koopa's litter brother is back at the shelter :(

This is breaking my heart. I sometimes check the website of the shelter where I got Koopa (I know I shouldn't but I can't help myself) and I saw yesterday a very very Koopa looking boy for adoption... I called and based on everything the girl said I'm almost 100% sure this is Koopa's brother. Koopa's litter of 5 had been found outside when he was a baby and they had been sent to 3 different shelters in the region (Koopa was with his sister at this shelter but the other ones were also very close by). Now this boy has been, again, found wandering outside and all the characteristics point to him being Koopa's brother.

Here are a few pics of the boy:

Now there is no way I can get another big dog in my apartment but I'm so sad he's back at the shelter this is killing me. If anyone is looking for a Koopa look-alike in Quebec or eastern Ontario (or further) please consider this boy. He is supposed to be Koopa-like in behaviour and demeanor as well so active, happy and cuddly.

Here is the link if anyone is interested (this is an animal control shelter north of Montreal):

What a beautiful boy! So sad to see him in the shelter. I wonder if anyone east of you or south would be able to have him.

Ugh I really can't let this go in my head I'm actively asking all my dog loving friends and colleagues if they would like to adopt him... I think I'm going to call back the shelter and make sure they are not going to put him to sleep because this is a kill shelter, maybe sponsor him or something. And however I think about it I really just can't get him for myself, there's no room for another crate or another dog in the apartment and we just got a baby parrot we have to teach everything to.

Maybe if he's not adopted, you could adopt him long enough to get him into a rescue. Or maybe you could connect a rescue with them to get him moved out of the shelter.

Sending prayers he finds a good forever home. Maybe you can contact some local rescues to see if they would help, especially if you can help with sponsoring him.
