Time for brain games! My guys can run or swim all day and still be ready to do something more, but mix in some training and brain games, and they are out like babies.
Daisy only got 3 short walks today because of the heat- no off leash play at the dog park. She is driving me crazy now-- sitting in front of me and licking me constantly. I can feel the drool dropping down my arm. Arg!

Once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one, is a life diminished.

Ava settled down after just a few minutes playing in the kiddie pool. Oh, and chasing Sam while he was training. Did a few easy training thing with each of them when we came inside.
Agree with the brain games. It really helps. Ugh, I am sorry it is so hot! Yuck.
I vote you go back on vacation!

I'd ignore. She will eventually calm down. Then wait for the evening when temperatures drop and take her for a nice long walk.
I seldom play with my dog in the house because I want him to be quiet indoors. On the other hand, he always gets at least one long off-leash walk, regardless of the weather (rain, snow, blizzard etc). When it's hot, we walk early in the morning or late in the evening.
