Do your dogs drink a lot?

My labs, Maya especially, drink a lot of water. They urinate normally for the amount they drink. They had blood work and all came back normal but I still worry! It is in the 90s here but they still do it at night too. How much do yours drink? And should I ever remove if I think it's too much? I think I'm just looking for something wrong since I'm a worry wart.

Yep, drinks more during the warmer months.

It depends on the weather, but it also depends on the diet. If the dog is fed kibble with 10% moisture it's natural that he will drink more water than when fed a wet / home-prepared diet.

Maya ate a few grapes last week and I think I'm just looking for symptoms wrong with her. That is the reason behind this question.

When did you do the bloodwork? If anything was wrong, it would have showed up.

No! It's amazing to me how much less these two drink than my last two non-lab-like dogs. They drink enough, I'm not worried but my previous dogs were tanks in comparison. I fill the bowl a LOT less with these two. Now, with the Texas heat and humidity, they have increased this summer, but still not nearly the level of water consumption that I had come to be used to with the previous dogs.

It's hot here, Opie drinks and drinks. The chihuahuas do too, but Opie's LOUD and MESSY about it.

Cabo will guzzle a bowl of water before breakfast and dinner. While I’m getting meals together he is at the water bowl. I’m lucky if Tux visits the water bowl more than once a day. And he really only takes a few drinks. They are both on raw, so they do get a lot of water that way.

Luna drinks maybe 10 cups a day. She's always been a big drinker. The 5 pound cat astounds me with how much she drinks- she's a 2-3 cup a day drinker. We have A/C so I know they're not too hot, I guess they just love hydrating themselves.

Not as much as they used to, now that they are on raw. It's astounding to me, the difference it makes!
