    Humidex of +41 C Today, I May Melt :(

Our forecast says a high of 31 C but with humidity it will feel like 41 C. That's 106 F. I'm just dreading this.

Darn Bamps is sharing his heat.

It was very hot and humid here yesterday. Hemi and I played inside. We practiced the game of pick up all your toys and then put them in his laundry basket and drag the laundry basket to your toybox. He is actually getting pretty good at that game. Hard part is after he puts them in the laundry basket and gets his treat he can't take them out of the laundry basket and put them back in again for another treat. But I give him an A for effort and at least trying it, multiple times.

I made dog safe smoothies too, Hemi got a little bit. Greek Yogurt, Strawberries, Blue Berries, Black Berries, some orange juice.

We painted, ran the sweeper since all the toys were picked up and did some laundry too. About 9:30 he was actually getting kind of pooped. Housework is hard work.

But, it's the first heat advisory issued by Env. Can. this summer so we really can't complain to much can we? Yesterday was a bit hot so we spent the day at the beach so Ram was in and out of the water all day. Then we went to a Pet Valu with a self serve dog wash station and he acted like it was the first time he had ever had water touch him. He was still really tired this morning so at least he will be good with only a short walk after work.

    And I am not jealous!

Strangely enough, we didn't have a hot summer this year. A couple of days with temperatures around 35 C and lots of, lots of, lots of rain. It's the humidity and the mosquitoes that made this summer the worse ever.

The heat index here has been 110+ for about five days now. I am sooo over it and ready for fall. I walk the dogs at 5am, and the actual temp is already at 80 degrees and the heat index has to be pretty high too, b/c I come home soaked in sweat and the dogs are panting and glad to be back in the AC.

We've had a lot of weather advisories here this summer because of the extreme heatwave - air quality and wild fires have been bad. it's going up to 31C today - not sure what the humidity will make it, but sure thankful for the AC! I know I couldn't live where Bamps is - not sure how you do it!
