    Had a scare today

We've been doing a lot of upgrades to the house, new flooring, paint, re-doing the kitchen next month. I was replacing all the electrical switches and outlets today. Sophie was pretty much crashed out while I was doing this, but Bruce was right in the middle of everything as I was working. I finish the last outlet, and I can't find a screwdriver bit I was using. Looked everywhere I'd been working, pulled out all the furniture again, still couldn't find it. I was positive I'd put in in my pants pocket, but still couldn't find it. So I get everything cleaned up, go back all re-look at everything again. Still can't find it. I look at Bruce, who's sitting there with a dumb look on his face, and wonder if he may have scarfed it down.

So in my mind I'm thinking if he did ingest it, what are the odds it will pass? What are the issues with metal in the digestive tract? Can I sleep tonight not knowing for sure? I call my vet, who of course is closed for the holiday. I call the E-vet. They say bring him in.

So off we go to the e-vet. $390 later, I'm happy to report he did not ingest the screwdriver bit. I still can't find it, but at least I know it's NOT in Bruce's gut!!!!!

$390 well spent! I know I would be up all night just starring at my dog wondering "what if". Rather safe than sorry. Glad he didn't eat it!

Would've scared the crap out of me too. Glad he didn't eat it and hope you find it soon, so Bruce won't have a chance to be faster. Fingers crossed. M&M

Money well spent when it's for naught but the pooch is cleared.

$390 for x-rays, but peace of mind is priceless.
