    Really sad

I've noticed ( in my neighborhood at least) that nobody really plays/exercises thier dogs. They put them in the yard by themselves some just let them out to do theor business then right back in. I'm always throwing thier balls for them or we work on obediance teach them tricks we go to the park swimming or hiking. I just feel bad for dogs that don't get this kind of attention.

It's sad and frustrating. As president of a rescue, I know most of the young dogs we get in from the shelters ended up there because they became destructive when they got bored.

there are those that should have dogs and those that shouldn't.
i live with it everyday with the people across the street. she brought her dog in today, eli was excited so she picked up wally to console him. i said "what are you doing but reinforcing the dog's fear?"
    it's hopeless.

Don't get this either. The very same people would never ignore their cell phone, television, or computer and all these things can be safely turned off, shut down and there's no damage done. How come that an intelligent human being of the 21st century doesn't realize that there is a difference between things and living creatures? And now... where's the "very, very angry" emoticon?

I don't get it either. Why get a dog? Get a goldfish.

In two years I have never once seen my neighbors walk their dog.

I'm afraid that wouldn't work either as unlike things even fish need some care and attention.

    Horrible
We've got neighbours who have a husky - he lives outside attached to his kennel with a huge chain
Just recently we started taking him for walks as we feel really sorry for that poor dog. He isn't trained at all so it's a bit of pain but we're managing. We're trying to convince them to rehome him but for some reason they can't make that decision.
