She deserved to get sprayed.
I've had some time off so I've been taking advantage of local off leash areas during the day when no one is around. The other day I took them to a park at the river. They swam forever and then as we were walking through the off leash park they booked it toward a woman laying out on a blanket. Of course they shook and got her, her book, her sunglasses , and her blanket wet. She was p!ssed! She sat up and wiped herself and her things down with napkins, making a big show of it and acting like the water was actually acid. I didn't know what to say because, I mean, who lays out in a dog park -- signs are posted all around the perimeter (it's not fenced and dogs have to be on-leash outside of the perimeter)? I thought maybe there was something wrong with her? I have dogs and I think it's gross!
She deserved to get sprayed.

LOL! Maybe she doesn't mind dogs; she found a nice spot to sunbathe... but didn't expect that dogs would swim in the river and shake when they got out. I constantly have to remind people who observe Cookie swim that they should move away because Cookie will soak them with water and mud as soon as he gets out.

Wait a minute - isn't the reason we take out dogs swimming to get the bottom half of our pants and shoes washed?
Her laying in a dog park is just odd, weird.

She minded, alright! And, she was only about 50 feet tops from the river. It was so bizarre!
She deserved to get mud all over her. Crazy lady.

Go back. Make sure they get muddy.
Maybe she couldn't read English and didn't know what kind of area she was in?
You wouldn't think that someone who understood the concept of off-leash and the proximity to water would be hanging around there if she didn't assume she was going to get wet.
Lol I plan on things getting wet. The number of times I have used poop bags to protect my phone, clean ones of course.
