Looking for rescue in the near future.

My beautiful 15 year old Lab, HRH King Maxx died September 5th. My heart aches for him. My house feels so empty without a dog. I am just letting people know that I would like to rescue again ( I rescued Maxxie when he was 1+1/2 ). I live in Vancouver B.C. Just putting it out there so everyone knows. Maxxie had the best life. He came everywhere with me & had so many friends. That's Maxxie & me, dressed as Elvis, at his 15th birthday party.

What age group are you looking for? Male, female? Does your new rescue need to be good with cats or other dogs?

TO DOUBLEDIP1:as far as sex; it doesn't matter male or female. Age maybe 2 years + not too old. I do love the old ones but I hate to lose another one quickly

I am terribly sorry for your loss

there must be a few solid rsecues in Vancouver. Two options are to google Vancouver dog rescue or to go to petfinder.com and search by area (not all rescues post on petfinder).

Many pet stores had adoption events so you can go to a few of thsoe to get to know rescues.

    Another to try
Adopt-a-Pet.com :: Adopt One of these Great Dogs!

In our area many vets also have / know of pets in need of a home.

So sorry again that Maxx had to leave you. Put the word out to your vet, and friends, and do a search for Lab rescue. I believe the Labrador Retriever Club of Canada has several Regional rescue sites listed on their links, that may be another place to search. Keep your eye out on Kijiji as well, LOTS of dogs unfortunately listed there.
