    Transport

I have a Toyota RAV4 for hauling the dogs. I've been using a hammock setup on the back seat since Sophie was little. It's worked pretty good up til now, the back seat is just a bit to crowded now that Bruce is a big as Sophie, and getting bigger by the day! And after meeting Bruce's father, I'm pretty sure Bruce is going to be a pretty big boy.

I saw these great dual crates in a lot of the cars at the show we attended while in the UK. I did a google search, and can't seem to find anything like them here in the USA. I don't want the dogs just loose in the back, so I'm looking for a solution. I was thinking maybe a couple soft crates, but not sure how they would do.

Any ideas? What are you using?

A lot of people in our lab club have something like this set up either in their SUV or in their pickups.

I probably am not much help. My daily driver is a Suburban so that means I have 3 rows of seats. Usually it works out to me driving, DW next to me with the 18 pounder on her lap, one lab and one furless kid, followed by another lab and furless kid.

Sometimes my older son has both labs with him in the 3rd row.

A crate used in the UK and crash tested, while stlll being available here, is the Variocage. I have not used it, but I have admired it in other vehicles! It is on cleanrun.com and other sites.
    This one explains it well:
Variocage. The only Crash Tested Dog Cage in the World. Safe Pet Travel.

I have the double XXL size of the crate in the link. I love it. I carry two big boys in it.

I looked at this one, and think it's awesome. However the price is a bit steep.

I found this one too. A bit less expensive, and looks good quality.
