Have been looking for a new Dyson for a while. Let's not start another religious war, I'll just say we are hugely satisfied, having had 4 cats and a lab. Need a new one after many years (vacuum, not furkid). Tonight (Sept 28 ) all vacuums, all brands, including Dyson, are 20% off at futureshop (canada) online.

I will go check. We just bought a Dyson at Future Shop. We bought in the store and I think the 30 day price match only applies to ads for other stores. But surely on-line counts when it's their own store. I'll see.

Gee, if we were in the market . . .

I paid full price ($525 USD) for ours. Life hasn't been the same since buying it. It's still going strong after eight years, five dogs, one cat, a *cough cough* relaxed style of housekeeping.

I don't even have to get it out to make Stella nervous. As soon as I begin clearing stuff off the floor prepatory to Dysoning she's at the door wanting out.

By memory from a long-ago post:

    Dyson:
    noun
    1. Any of a series of vacuums (and now other devices) produced by a company owned by James Dyson.

    verb
    1. To vacuum (see Hoover) one's home. "Dear, I'm going to Dyson."
    2. To describe the act of cleaning or inhaling something, i.e. "I Dysoned that sandwich."
    Andrew, Faye, Fitzi, and Lucy

Not gone, only gone on ahead - Bruno, Rex, BoJo, Kendal, Kingsley, Moonpie, Avis, Corndog, Stella, and now Achilles

I just got a Shark rotator and love it. Had a Dyson for 10 years and I debated getting another dyson but just couldn't afford the price. The shark works just as good if not better than the dyson.

I think I'm going to either send mine in for rehab or let the "girls" buy me a new one for Christmas (or before). Or both....Still works good but the beater bar etc is noisy again, esp on certain carpets/rugs.
