Welcome back!!! M&M
Hi guys,
It's me, Julie, back again from Southern California. I have 3 boys- Monty (yellow, 8.5 years), Rogue (black, 5 years) and Rogue's son, Eddy (black, 1 year)- and I compete with my boys in conformation, rally/obedience, and hunt tests, as well as dabbling in dock diving, beginning (just classes so far) agility, and therapy work with Rogue (registered through Delta Society's Pet Partners). Together, we have all been blessed with a lot of successes, though we have also had some hiccups and set-backs along the way.
I have been a member of this board since 2004, and I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of the database, Woody. My heart breaks for you and those who search through the countless educational and fun threads here for information to help them out with their own labradorks.
People here have gone through our surgeries and recovery with our Libby (bilateral elbow dysplasia and hip dysplasia) back in 2004-2005. They have supported me through board membership in local lab clubs and through several different and exciting jobs. They have watched us bring our Monty home from NY and watched him grow from a cute little polar bear puppy up through an AKC Champion, shared our excitement when he won Best In Specialty Show at the HDLRC Specialty in 2008, and then cheered us on as we competed at Westminster in 2009...
Some have helped provide support through my divorce in 2009 (husband of 7 years came out of the closet), meeting the love of my life later that year, getting married in 2011 and having our precious baby girl this past September.
During that time, we also brought our dear, sweet Rogue home at age 2 in January 2011... after which he finished HIS AKC Championship, then went on to win multiple specialty show Best Of Breed awards (all owner handled until this past October while I was getting home with our new baby when he won the labrador national!) and even a Sporting Group 1 and 4 (owner-handled by me!). His son Eddy came home just after I learned I was pregnant last year, and already has 10 points and 3 major wins under breeder-judges toward HIS AKC championship from puppy classes, including 2 specialty wins and 2 specialty Best Puppy wins/2 specialty Best Op In Sweeps wins. He's just a big booger. LOL
That's our lab life and involvement in a nutshell.
Glad to be back!

Welcome back Julie.
Welcome back.
Just thought I would tell you, when I first registered here in 2008 the words SoCal didn't link to S. California in my mind. To me your name meant, So Called Lab Lover. It was months before I stopped wondering why anyone would call themselves that, it denoted ambivalence to my mind. Did you love the breed or not? LOL
Don't worry, probably no else is as slow as me. Your posts alone should have convinced me my understanding was wrong.
Hi Julie!
Welcome back.
