Kimber's so smart! (Except when she's not, lol)

    Proud Mama report:

At bedtime, I put together the frozen kong for morning and give Kimber her small kong with a cookie in it for bed. Kimber's job is to get the morning kong from her dogbed in the living room and bring it to me in the kitchen. Last night, I told her to go get the kong and she trotted out of the kitchen...and into the bedroom. I went to look for the kong in the living room but couldn't find it, so I called out to her, "Where's your kong?" I heard her stamping her feet, then she came to the doorway. But she didn't leave the room; instead, she used her psychic abilities to get me to follow her into the bedroom. She ran over to my dresser, where I must have put the small kong. She was giving little leaps like, "here it is! here it is!" So while it wasn't the kong I meant, she gets total points for knowing where *a* kong was, and leading me to it.

I picked up the kong and put it in the kitchen, and then called out, "Kimber! Where's your OTHER kong?" When she didn't appear, I went back into the bedroom...

    (spoiler: not so smart part)

Where I discovered her stamping her feet and doing her "here it is!" leaps and staring at the spot where the small kong had been before I took it. Goofball.

For closure: the big kong turned out to be in the spare bedroom.

This makes me smile. Hey, at first you didn't designate which kong. One good deed a day is probably her rule.

That's very sweet, regardless of which Kong you were asking for.
