We got a bunch of chicks this Spring and they just recently began free ranging. Sanford was "chicken trained" on our old gals from the minute we brought him home. The old ones are right docile but the newbies like to run, fly a bit, and chest bump. It is hard for a 1 year old Lab to understand this behavior is not an invitation for him to join in and play. But I have to give kudos to my wild child ....he is doing great with them. Of course his older brother Fred has always been a natural chicken lover who spends time with his nose to the ground trying to figure out what they are eating.
The last photo was Sanford and Fred celebrating Fall by wrestling in the leaves.

That is amszing, you have such good boys! I just don't think I could trust my guys to not chase the chickens, too much temptation!
