    The Painted Lady (chicken)

Some contractors work clean but most work pretty messy in my experience. When the siding was being replaced, I had the chickens locked up most of the time but our painters are clean and they are respectful of the birds so I have let the chickens run loose during this project. They finish tomorrow but today they missed . . .

And it is just beautiful. I have to say that once we found that the frames weren't rotting (huge relief) the privacy issue was the worst. It's a terrible thing to say but with all of this exterior work, we've coined the term Crotch in the Window Syndrome. It's very unnerving, especially when most of the house is on a second or third floor.
