    Well, that's a bright spot.

The pot smoking, heavy drinking neighbor's daughter does not seem to be following in her mother's footsteps. Her behavior had been so bad in the past few years that I was convinced she would become a juvenile delinquent but as her mother has descended into increasing hot messiness, the daughter has recently become polite, composed and responsible. She brought me our mail when it was delivered to her house and today thanked me for helping return her dog while she was watching her brother and another neighbor's child. Could have knocked me over with a feather. She's 16 now and seems to have turned around from being an absolute disaster, acting out, catcalling, screaming at people and just being generally nasty. Cross your fingers for this kid.

Sounds like 1 person in that house is all that can be responsible at a time.

sadly , while she might have changed some of her ways, and now is polite to you, honestly i don't think you have a clue what this kid is like in the house or with her friends.

i have neighbors, and they are close by (60x100 lots) and when i see their recycling bins i wonder how their livers haven't given out . how much booze can one drink in a week?

and these are the pigs that cause me to put up "gaza"as cory calls it because i cant look at their moldy white house and all their crap they store on the side of the house. they now have, and he thinks he tricked the insurance company, a not new lexus that was under water during sandy. it stayed in the driveway a year, flat bedded away and he had to actually shovel the crap that got stuck under the car. yes, he did.

the car was gone for months and months because he thought they could rewire the entire car and it would be like brand new. well, lol, the car is back, unregistered, not moving, back in the driveway. i guess he won't be able to shovel whatever blows underneath it this winter. there actually was a cardboard box under the car, for a year.

back to your issue, i wish people needed licenses to have babies.

I sure hope someone or something has influenced her to change her ways. It's horrible what some children have to live with.

She seemed really sincere and so much calmer. Not at all snarky or sarcastic. I hope that another family member took her under his/her wing or she at least figured out that her mother is just paranoid and the world isn't out to get her.

I hope she is growing up and deciding to be a better person. Be sure to encourage her when she's being polite. But be cautious, too.
