    Follow Up Doctor Appointment

Not fun at all. Was in a lot of pain when I got there. A 15 minute check turned into a 2 1/2 hour visit. Doctor said the stent had to come out, might be causing a lot of the irritation and pain. So, out it came, in the office, no anesthesia. OUCH! I was sweating bullets. Cried all the way home it hurt so bad. Did not take any pain med before leaving because they really do their job and did not want to drive after taking one.

Good news - The stent is out. The x-ray showed most of the pieces must have passed although I did not catch any.

Bad news - There is still a small piece/another stone in the kidney but small enough to pass on it's own.

DH took care of cleaning the house, decorating and cooking for Bre's 16th birthday party we had tonight. All I had to do was sit at the table. Was kinda out of it but with the kids it kept my mind busy.

Hopefully, this is the real beginning of the end. NEVER want to go through this again.

I just don't know how you've been able to stand it. Here's to better living through chemistry - and the passing of the last bit!

I'm sure you're so sick of this. I hope the last bit of stone passes soon and you finally start to feel better!

How awful for you! I can't imagine the pain you must have been in. Sending lots of "passing stone" and healing thoughts!

Glad you were able to enjoy Bre's birthday a little, even though you weren't feeling up to par. Get well soon!!

I wish I could just wave a magic wand and fix this and a lot of other sad and bad things that are causing so much hurt to good people. Glad the birthday was a success, that would help you and your family to feel better.

Aww Fran so sorry. Pain is no fun at all. I am glad they feel that part of the stone will pass on its own. You deserve a break. Hang in there

Good thoughts for your comfort headed your way....I can't believe how long you've had to deal with this. I sure hope that Thanksgiving this year will have you giving thanks for being pain-free.
