    My first foster

Me and a friend search CL every once in a while to report and see if any dogs need help. We ran across a super sad story: A couple just got married about 3 weeks ago and they adopted a 2 year old Rottie during the summer. Women husband died in a car accident 2 days ago, she's in no emotional state to take care of this dog. I can't imagine what this lady is going through. So we've been in contact with her and a few rottie rescue in our area, they don't have any foster available so me and my friend are going to be fostering her till we find her forever home!

We're going to pick her up tomorrow! I am excited and nervous at the same time. But I can't wait!

A lovely thing you're doing, both for the pup and the owner. I hope it goes well!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

I picked her up, and introduced her to Emma she was very shy and nothing like the rottie I had growing up or other that I have met. She's smaller then I was expecting, about 65-70lbs. I think she might be a mix with something else. She's been in her crate all day sleeping. She's super well behaved and walks well on a leash. The rescue were working with posted it up on their fb page and got a few hits. So she'll hopefully find her forever home soon!

Emma kept play bowing to her when we introduce them it was quite funny. I'm off from work tomorrow, so let see how it goes!
