That's cold for you. We've had highs in the low 30's and looking for highs in the 20's next week with some lows in the single digits.

    Bundle up!

I am totally enjoying the cooler temps here around Phoenix....Finally summer is over!!!! It is feeling more chilly this evening for sure, actually shut the doors and windows and have long sleeves on. I'll sleep good tonight, always better when its chilly then hot. Get the old sheets out Bamps and cover all the plants up. Good luck

It's only been a bit below freezing here, down to -5C, but I can imagine the concerns for you. We managed to get the potatoes, carrots, beets and onions dug on Tuesday when it hit +17C. Couldn't hose them off as the outside water has been turned off for a couple of weeks, freezing water in hoses is not good for hoses. Then on Friday we woke to 15 cm (6 inches) of snow and have had more every day since. I skiied on Friday.

We brought the grapefruit tree in a month ago. It never bears fruit.

What kind of heating do you have in your house? Is it enough to keep pipes from freezing if the cold lasts?

Yeah I got caught kind of by surprise at how much snow we have had too. They said it was coming but only an inch or so and then done. I thought no problem still time to get the stuff done. I still have furniture on the deck. I did put all the hoses away because of freezing temps at night. However it's been snowing pretty much non stop I got about 4 inches on the ground and supposedly another 3-5 tonight. I had to put it in 4wd the other night. Hemi has been loving it though. We did a 3 mile hike in the snow yesterday in the woods and he pretty much ran the whole way. We came home and cuddled up by the fireplace for a afternoon nap. I love it when I get to live a dogs life with my boy.

We were in Barrie Friday evening thru Sun, in the "sunny south" all we have had were flurries, the last couple of mornings a dusting on the grass, but roads fine. Then Friday morning, ugh. roads slippery, lots and lots of fender-benders, people not having snow tires on and/or forgetting to slow down and drive like its winter. Roads were fine all the way to Barrie, but Barrie itself was divided almost in half - the southern part roads fine, pretty light snow on the grass; the northern part, roads closed, lots of snow.

Got home to more flurries, then serious snow overnight, this morning, it was suddenly winter outside!

Here's Scout Friday evening out for a walk in the pretty white stuff
