    Treat making day.

Made chicken bites and dried sweet potatoes today over the course of the day and OMG - I cannot get these dogs off of me! Constantly pestering and underfoot. I'm looking at them and saying, "When do you ever get this stuff while I'm making it?!" And then I realized, they do and this is my fault.

It got crazy expensive to buy them with their dietary restrictions. I just couldn't justify it anymore. It keeps the house warm during winter though!

There used to be an extensive recipe section, is there still? I too would like to start making Daisy's treats! Of course, i've been saying that for a year. But really, I want to!!

Thanks for the idea, I think OPIE and the Chihuahuas may like that kind of treat.

Adding in my request for some recipes! I'd love to make some homemade treats! He has so many different puzzle toys and all work best with different sizes of treats, so I end up buying all these different expensive ones. I'd love to make my own and customize the size of the 'cookies' so that they work with all his toys.

I make treats all the time. I bought a food dehydrator, so I just bake a sweet potato, slice it really thin and let it hang out on the dehydrator for a day.

Or I'll get chickpea flour, some eggs, canned pumpkin, diced sweet potatoes and apples/bananas/carrots and mix together.

I don't think I've ever used a recipe for dog treats... I just throw it in a bowl.
