The very best kind of weight lifting program. Puppy grows, so does your strength. Well, you can hope. Hey Dad, back end's slipping.

I was shown a lift to protect my last girl's back that you might try. I could lift Oban (no back problem) even when he hit 82 pounds. A struggle but I could if I had to, from the ground up. Easy if I'm starting from a raised surface like the load floor of my jeep. One arm between the front legs from the front. The other arm around the butt, tail up or under as dog prefers, under my arm for us. The only dog body parts hanging are the legs.

LOL about the "back end's slipping"! Thanks for the advice on lifting front loaded (big head and chest) dogs. I use double under hooks on him when I lift him up into his Toyota FJ. It has 35" tires and a 3" lift kit so he cannot jump up into yet.

What a cutie! Beautiful eyes, so intense.

I'm the first to discourage letting a dog jump up or down from an SUV type vehicle because we home older dogs. I feel it is the same for pups. An FJ is high off the ground and a sprain or break can happen so easily, especially jumping down on to a hard surface. Suggest a ramp or stairs. I have a telescoping ramp with a handle that takes up almost no room tilted up on it's side and bungeed up to the over the door handle.
