Black puppies are hard to photograph. I think 95% of Maxx's baby pictures are of a black blur!

Sophie's a beauty. Such a nice shiny coat. I feel like the only good pics I get are outside (in the grass, sand or snow.)

We were giving her a sardine as a snack every other day or so...that might have had something to do with it. We need to buy more for her.

Excellent picture! I found the best was in the summer with green grass background.

Yes, outside in the sun helps. They are a lot trickier.....like catching a good pic isn't hard enough. Good luck, keep em coming.

I agree it is really hard to get a good shot of our black labs. Never new it would be so hard until I tried getting good puppy shots.
She is so cte. Love the nose shot.

Sophie is a real cutie. Great pics, and I agree, it is hard.

I had no idea how hard it is to get a decent photo of a black puppy until Finnegan came along. I'm another one with probably thousands of black blobs pictures!

An external flash makes a huge difference, if you have a DSLR. Even if you don't, overriding the exposure with a half or full stop helps a lot.
