    Dog doors

My dog door that I have already is getting too low for Molly. I was going to instal another one. Was wondering how long I should wait for her to grow so that the door is the right size. I was going to instal it in the laundry room door higher up so she doesent have to bend down to get through.

I have no idea how to judge her sixe as she grew more in this last month than in months previously. I guess the good thing is she is on a schedule and does ask to be let out. So I am not too worried about accidents.

About 8-9 months they are usually as tall as they are going to get, she might go another inch maybe but it will be over a long period. From there on out she will fill out.

I tried to find my post but it was before the forum crash I am guessing. Every year I post a comparison image of Hemi in the spring when I get the deck furniture out. First day of spring out on the deck Hemi loves it.

But to give you a comparison,

    Hemi at 9 months

    At 1 year 9 Months

    2 years 9 months

Love the comparison shots of Hemi! His coloration has darkened over the time period.

Never had a doggy door so, sorry, no help here.

Just wait until you're sure where you want it. Mine came installed in the storm door. I would have put it higher. It doesn't seem to bother Sam although it's low for him. I had a taller dog that used it fine as well.

Great pics of Hemi, he's such a handsome guy. Our dog door is kind of high for our new Golden pup, but within a week he has it figured out. Gibson can fly through it at top speed hardly making a sound......Ours is in an arcardia door, so it can be removed easily. Its a pretty large one.

So maybe the existing one wont be an issue.
