I was at a casual restaurant earlier this week and a guy with some kids had a Frenchie. It was wearing a jacket, licking the floor, eating stuff, pulling the owner around...
I don't usually go to Walmart but yesterday I had no time(I was driving by Walmart) so I went inside to get some stuff. As soon as I walked in, I noticed a few dogs inside. I didn't walk around so I don't know how many dogs there were but I saw two dogs right away. One was with a lady around in her 20s-30s with no visible disability. She had a pure bred pit bull. You could clearly see the dog was not trained to be a service animal. The pit was not neutered either.
The other dog was a mixed looking puppy(maybe around 3-4 months old) with a family. Clearly the puppy was not in training to be a service animal. After seeing two dogs, I just couldn't let it go so I went to the customer service and complain. They told me that they couldn't ask them about their dogs. These dogs weren't even wearing anything. What bugs me most is these owners were acting like they were at a PetSmart. What happens when a real service dog comes in with a disable person and can not do the job because there are untrained dogs everywhere? I am sick of these stupid dog owners.

Hey, but we live in Liberal NW, what the heck would you expect??? I guess to these folks, the hardware or farm store IS Walmart??? lol. It's a very screwed up system and needs to be unscrewed because.... well, the general population is pretty screwed up!

Do some Walmart stores allow dogs inside...I know ours does not unless it is a true service dog.
Just wondering if some of the big box stores have different rules and regulations?

The issue is that legally, people in any store really aren't allowed to question it.

Dont they say when service dogs are working they don't play?
So you could be deceptively sneaky and say something like cute dog, can I play with him / her?
Or does she / he do tricks?
