Had a fun evening with the boy out in the cold weather doing a touch up on his shed finding
getting ready for the deer to start dropping

I use Dokken's Shed Dog Trainer tom dokkens method, start out with them getting use to and retrieving sheds then start hidding, teach the visual and. Smell. Then start planting cold ones ( ones you hide for a day or two) start them on patterns and windage.

Love your dogs name and have a Gauge too and the newest one is Benelli. My husband wants to teach ours to shed hunt.

I too thought it was training them to shed outside. Was out in the cold yesterday brushing Archie. That boy sheds a lot!
