    Mardi Was Not Pleased

She got a bath today. DH and I can't agree, but I don't think we've ever had to give her a bath since she joined us 4+ years ago. Not only is she in the middle of spring shed, she just felt too oily to me. Was concerned with her bad hip and knee, but she did great.

Put a bathmat and towel down in the tub and DH helped get her in. She did great, tail wagged the entire time. You'd think with her limitations she would be easy to move around. NOT THIS GIRL! It was like moving a brick wall to get her to move her head back from hanging over the edge of the tub to wash her neck. I got soaked.

Archie watched, very interested. In fact, he laid down on the floor next to the tub and we had to have him leave when ready to get Mardi out. Of course she saved the shake until after getting out of the tub, LOL. Took her outside; it's a nice warm, sunny day, gave her another brush and had her lay in the sun for a while.

Now this girl is ready to Mardi Gras Party!

Sam needs a bath really badly but I haven't done it yet. I keep hoping he'll play in the kiddie pool and clean himself up.

No, not here yet. He's been groomed twice at Petsmart. They have done a fantastic job even getting him to the point where he accepts the Dremel. Think next time he needs a rinse off (he's a mud magnet) I'll do it in the tub and see how he does.

Mocha got in the shower with DH one day and just started playing in the water. So, I think we've found our solution of how to haul our 90 lbs lab into the tub, we don't! I was glad we got a separate shower and soaking tub, but now I'm really glad!

Mardi sounds like a true Lab Diva! Good for her!

Bet you she looks all pretty and fluffy. And promptly rolled in something stinky.
