    Archie Scared Me Today

Let Mardi and Archie out this afternoon. Back in the corner of the yard DH has put in a low fence. It's the part of the yard that gets muddy first, have some lumber back there, wheelbarrow, etc. It's also the spot that the squirrels enter the yard the most.

Archie took off to the low fence and with the snow drifted up it, guess he decided it would be easy to get over. His back legs sank as his front end went over the fence and there he got hung up, half in/half out. He screamed and was wiggling, yelping the entire time. He wiggles himself so he was over a fence post, luckily flat topped, no pointy. I run out in slippers, no coat and waded into the drift. Grabbed around him just behind the front legs and lifted him back with thoughts of cuts and damage to his man parts.

He took off butt tucking like a puppy, me trying to get him to check him out. Got him inside and figured I was trying to play a game while I'm trying to roll him over. Luckily, all parts accounted for, no scratches, nothing.

Scared the heck out of me. Archie, NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!

Oh no, that is definitely one of those heart stopping moments. I am so glad all his "parts" were intact and there were no other injuries.

Sometimes I think they stress us just for fun.

    Glad it all worked out.
