    Hemi's Holiday Weekend

So Friday night, boss said go home early. So I went. I got home and did all the yard work and got everything done so I had the weekend for just Hemi and myself. It was Friday night too so of course we grilled out Hemi Kabobs.

I told Hemi to sleep in Saturday as we had plans. But no he insisted we get up at 9:00 a.m. Which we grilled out breakfast and hung out in the yard until about 2. Then we went to my friends house for a pool party and a BBQ.

Hemi swam from 3 until 7, he had a forced break for supper and rest until 8 then he swam from 8 until 10. I got in there with him too, we don't often get to swim together. We had a great time he would come up and let me hold him in the water so he could rest, then he would swim to the stairs and get out and jump right back in again. When everyone was tired of trowing stuff in the pool for him to fetch he would take it to the deep end and throw it in himself. Of course it was in the pool so he had to fetch it.

Sunday, I had to wake him up at 8 a.m. as we were going to my sisters for a BBQ. Hemi got to play with his Uncle Mac for several hours, or as much as Mac could handle. Then my Great Nephew, had a water toy that both him and Hemi had a blast playing with. Hemi was Born on July 19, came home September 9. My Great Nephew was born September 19, exactly 2 months after Hemi. So they have grown up together. Once Hemi wore uncle Mac out then he proceeded to wear everyone else out. I wish I had his energy.

    Here Hemi have some water.

    Why thank you.

Here Nolan, let me shake some water on you too.

    And splashing water everywhere.

    More Water Hemi?

Both were completely soaked. Which they came running in the house where Hemi proceeded to shake off right by my niece who was frosting my birthday cake. My birthday is next week. My sister assessed the damage and well we have all had dogs and labs for years. My niece had blocked most of it as she seen it coming. Yeah we ate it it was clean water, just shaken from Hemi, who was clean. Hemi continued to play until 9 at night. Another long day.

    Monday was my day off.

Hemi pretty much let me sleep in until 10:30 where he wanted to potty and eat.

Which followed by a whole lot of

What a weekend! Hemi is awesome! Man how nice is that pool?! And I LOVE that Tigers hat. That's sweet. Hopefully they've recovered from last night...

Great pictures. Hemi is a lucky dude.

Hemi couldn't dream of a better life than he had on the weekend. Water, food, kids and your full attention. He is one lucky dog. Fun photos.

Love the pictures! How do you get Hemi to sleep so late? Mocha wakes up at 7:00 at the latest, but so does DH. I'm fortunate they both let me sleep in.

We actually get up at 7 on the weekends and potty, eat, and go right back to bed.
