    Herbal Supplements Flunk the Test

I know a lot of people give various supplements to their dogs. I don't know how many know of the testing that was done on them, with certain store brands failing to include what is advertised on the label. The biggest offender was Wal-Mart (Spring Valley brand), with the others being Target (Up&Up brand), GNC (Herbal Plus brand), and Walgreen's (Finest Nutrition brand).

A list of the items tested and failure rate is on this site:

“It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.”

I saw that. Sadly, I'm not surprised. Very disappointed, though.

GNC kind of surprised me, but I always tell people to avoid getting supplements from Walmart and the like.
