Question What time should puppies go to bed?

My 12 week old girl's day starts about 6:30 am but I am not clear about what time I should put her to bed. Her sleeps during the day are between 8:30 am and noon, 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. I put her to bed about 11:30 pm. Is it OK or should I shorten the evening naps and making the bed time like 10:00 pm?

I'd let the puppy sleep as she pleases. Dogs sleep a lot, and puppies sleep even more!

I would agree with Berna, Pups sleep a lot, they have a lot of growing to do. Also since they grow really quick the things in the schedules change really quick too so a lot of things just let them do what they need. If you find her not sleeping all night when you are trying to sleep then I would try to cut out the evening naps. HOwever the next year everything will be constantly changing, the amount of food she eat, the amount she sleeps, the number of times she goes potty. All this changes and changes constantly you don't really get to a stable and set schedule until they are 1-2 years old, even then things still change but just slower.

I see. I just wanted to know when I should put her in the crate for the night. Because of the potty issues I can't let her sleep any time. But like what you suggest me, instead of forcing her to sleep, I watch her and when I see she is about to fall asleep, I encourage her to go into her crate then slowly close the door.

can't you just take her out before you go to bed? that's what I do, then he goes in the crate.

I train my dogs to go to bed with me and wake up with me. i have never crated any of mine at night, crates are only used when i am not home, we just all get in bed together and go to bed. If im up late they will stay up with me or nap on the couch or something until im ready to go to bed. Ive always done it this way even with young puppies, they learn my routine fast.

The dogs go to bed when I go to bed. They also get up when my alarm goes off, 7am weekdays, 7:45 weekends. My wife gets up at 4:45am and the dogs don't even stir.
