    Coconut Oil, Liquid or Solid?

Just curious, will your dog eat the stuff in it's solid state? Oban won't. I have to melt it which is a minor nuisance.

Also curious if you like it yourself? The OH puts a daub on his morning porridge and it melts and he mixes it in. I tried it and though I like coconut in baked goodies I can't stand the taste or smell in porridge.

I melt it for my dogs, as I've had Creek choke on it in the solid state cause it's thick and she can't get it down. Their meat is raw, however I spend 10 min or so every meal, re-heating their vegetables, which melts their coconut once put into their bowls.

Creek in general does not like cold food/meals , can't say I blame her, honestly.

Mine will eat it either way. I put it on their food. I can use coconut oil to sauté vegetables and maybe cut up chicken. I agree though that I like it best in baked goods. Not when used frying an egg.

Mardi and Archie eat it in the solid state. I do kinda break it up so it's not one solid blob.

Charlie will take it in the solid state right off the spoon, no problem at all. I have never eaten it, but I cook with it all the time. I especially like to sauté vegetables in it. I'll have to try it in porridge.

The hounds don't care if food is warm, frozen or somewhere in the middle.

I Am using coconut oil on toast and for frying. A grilled bagel with a fried egg is a great start to the day. Pups get the egg shells too.
