We went on our morning walk this morning and apparently it was trash pick up day for most of our neighbors. We take our own trash to the dump so we don't have to worry about pick up. Anyway, so many houses had their trashcans on the curb and had bags of trash next to the can (obviously too much trash to stuff in their can) and the bags are torn or opened or laying on the ground with their crap all over. We walked over a piece of pizza on the sidewalk. Luckily, Oliver just sniffed at it and kept going but seriously, you can't put the food in the bag you threw on the curb??
Also, there is a house down the block that has a Great Dane and another huge dog (not sure what it is) and instead of having them do their business in their fenced in backyard, they have them crap all over their front yard and their neighbor's yard and they never clean it up! We had to step over a MASSIVE pile of poop that was in the middle of the sidewalk.
Are manners and common sense a thing of the past?? So ridiculous.

We have trash pickup, trash and recycle. If it doesn't fit in the container, they will not pick it up. No loose bags laying around.
If you give them a call, they will pick up one big item a month. For instance, we had an old couch, gave them a call, put it beside the curb and off it went at no extra charge.
Some people's manners are as crappy as they trash.

often, in my area, when there are plastic bags and food ripped out of the bags, it's from the feral cats or whatever else is scooting around at night.
We encountered a random bra and pair of undies on the sidewalk not that long ago. I couldn't say 'leave it' loud enough.
People ARE disgusting.
