I was there for day 1. Saw some really nice dogs. Can't say I thought the Lab BOB was the best dog there. Lochmore has taken BOB the last 3 years, and quite frankly I don't think they were the best dogs. The bitch winner this year was long in body, and she did not move well at all. And Barberi's dogs were NOT on their benches per Kennel Club and Cruft's rules. I was happy to see the Flat Coat take the group. Lovely dog.

I watched the gundog group judging online. To me, it came down to the Pointer and the Flatcoat. Dublin deserved it, and I LOVED his winning run around the ring with the rosette in his mouth. Classic. I hope he takes it all on Sunday.

I too agree about the Lab this year. She was a disappointment. Full sister to Romeo, I believe, but nowhere near his quality.

Here's a video of the ring. Some nice bitches there, but I am not really sure that Guilietta wasn't the best.

And the judging for the BOB

Personally, didn't like the male at all; for me, it's a fair win.

I loved Guilietta and could see the same beautiful expression in her face as her brother Romeo. She also had a lovely gait. I watched the gun dog demonstration with Phillipa Williams and enjoyed it. Her lab looked field type....so many beautiful dogs!

I didn't really like the Scottie's handler, and judging from the comments, I was not alone!

The flat coat Retriever was my favorite (naturally)

I had to rewatch the video to see what the problem was with the handler of the Scottie...I'm not an expert on these types of dogs but my understanding of dogs in general is that their tails are sensitive. I would never pick up any dog by the tail and I wouldn't play with the tail like she did throughout the interview.

Yes, I was very bothered by her handling, especially since she was told she was not allowed to handle the dog that way. She did it regardless!
