Makes me so happy we live in the country.
I do hate some people. Hope they catch the jack hole that's doing this.
I stumbled upon this over the weekend. Apparently someone is putting nails, screws, poison, pills, etc. into tasty treats (hot dogs and peanut butter) and leaving them on the street for dogs to find. There are several dogs in critical condition over this. It truly sickens me. I am so glad Bacon isn't one to pick up things off the ground to eat.

Labs- "Hearts of gold, heads of stone, cast iron stomachs"
I've heard of this happening before in other neighborhoods. It is something I do think about when walking, Tux does nosework and loves to use his nose in general, walking him takes twice as long as anyone else b/c he wants so sniff and follow trails. He'd find a food item in a heartbeat, so I am always on the lookout.
Why? Is it hate? Is it supposed to be fun? Why would anyone want to do that to an animal who doesn't know any better. Are children next? What evilness humans can dream up.
That is horrible. You have to intentionally think, "I am going to put screws and poison in dog treats and then scatter them throughout the neighborhood and hope that dogs die from it"...that is not a stable person. I would be concerned for not only my dog's safety but mine if that person lived in my neighborhood. Who knows what that person will escalate to. Scary.
Don't allow your happiness to be interrupted by overly judgmental people. The problem is not you, because even if you do good all the time, they would still find a way to judge you wrongly.

Sick people. So horrible. All they target are the innocent.
Everyone, please train and/or brush up on the leave it and drop it commands. You never know.
No, children aren't next. Children are already exposed to this. Every Halloween parents are advised to check the loot before letting kids eat it. Apples are prime places to hide stuff. Anything home made is especially suspect.
IS the world a worse place than it was? Or is it just with social media and the sorts of communications we have now we just hear about more, faster? Are bad numbers up? Or are percentages the same but more people making up the population means more people doing bad things? And more people doing good things too. Dunno, me.
How aweful how can people be so cruel
These are future serial killers. I read an article recently where the FBI is now starting to track animal cruelty convictions because it leads to more horrific crimes. I hope they catch these people, soon.
