We finally had a Mocha-Duchess breakthrough. He was laying on the floor next to my chair. Duchess came walking into the kitchen. He went in to see her and she gave him the "look". He stepped back and she ambled over and hopped up into my lap. Mocha just laid down in his spot by my chair. I think I saw a envy in his eyes but he was OK. She took quite the nap and he left her alone. So happy they are beginning to coexist peacefully, it only took a year and a half.

Yay! If they get along it's nice. But if they become true friends, well, I bet you'll spend a lot of time just watching and smiling.

Sorry Mocha, you're a Labrador not a Laprador

Yeah! It took our Molly and Mia a good number of months until they could co-exist "normally" when we first got Mia. They eventually got there, and for a couple of great years, they kept us entertained by their play antics. (Then last spring, Mia completely lost her mind and went nuts on all of us, but that's a different story.)
You'll need to give Mocha equal lap time later.

Cool! My poor kitties didn't decide to take back their 'hood until the 3rd house... Weirdest thing ever, we moved into the house I'm still in, and the girls just decided that was that, they weren't hiding out any longer, and both boys were totally fine (albeit surprised) with that. Only took 5 years....
