    'Tis the season...

... and we found our first tick. Attached, but dead. Advantix must have killed it, but I would have liked it better if it didn't attach at all.

Some mojo please it didn't transmit any nasties, because I am sick of it! It's been only 5 months since the last babesia infection.

Good thoughts that it was a healthy tick...nasty little buggers.

I TopSpotted our two a couple of weekends ago....our temps have been so erratic. Most of the colder nights have been accompanied by warm days and even the days we got snow didn't reassure me that the uglies weren't going to be crawling around. I haven't seen any on our guys yet and they've been doing their normal thing, nosing around in areas that ticks love. (shoot...that includes our own backyard)

Sending good thoughts. I have seen about six ticks total the past couple of weekends, all crawling on Cabo. I always spot them on the yellow boy. Thankfully I've not found any attached. I want to Frontline everyone, but it is supposed to be rainy this week.

Hopefully the tick took one bite and was gone. Hate to wish any creature dead but ticks are on the top of my list of nasties.
