Going to the doctor's office these days is horrible. Some make you wait hours and by the time you get in to see the doctor they give you 5 minutes and that's it.
Hope you feel better soon.
I know venting once again. I suffer from a lot of physical pain. Some of my issues are a knee replacement that went wrong and a knee that needs to be done. Latly my hips have been causing major issues. So I finaly got up the courage to go see a new surgeon. I really do fear ever being touched again.
I go through the process of X-rays wait for the Dr. who comes in looks at the images and says my hips don't look to bad. Then says that he thinks I hae some serious back issues and need to go see a spine surgeon. Throws off some names. Ask him about shots to help. He refers me back to my other DR. Ask him about my left replacement knee, ref me back to orginal surgeon whos not on my plan. Ask him about my right knee says I need to see a back surgeon. All this time has not even touched me. The whole 3.5 min with the Dr he orders an MRI of the hips and ref back surgeon.
I log into my health record later that night to find out I have a torn cartalage in my hip. Really Dr. dont you think you could have said something in the office. I for sure will not be returning to this Dr. I have a follow up with another hip guy in 3 weeks.

Oh dear. After working in the medical field for over 40 years, I DO NOT tolerate this type of service. In all fairness to the doctor, he is not a radiologist and probably did not do the official reading of the MRI; that would have come from the radiologist. BUT, shame on him for not contacting you with the results and maybe amending his recommendations.
Finding any physician who you like and totally trust is hard. You can go to Health Grades.com to see patient ratings and compare to who is in your network. Luckily, I do not have an insurance that limits who I can or cannot see. Also, talk to friends and neighbors or coworkers.

I have not had the MRI yet. Just so frustrating.
Yikes, sorry to read about that. Doctors are not fun to visit to begin with. My problem is I don't want to be sickly and it really messes with me to even go see a doctor. One thing I've learned is that a doctor cannot and will not make you healthy. You have to take control of your own body and do it yourself, they only treat the symtoms, but know what? Wish the hell I was 20 again!! Getting old really sucks rocks and blows sand!!!

That is so awful. It took me a long time to even find a good GP, and there are more GPs than any other doctors!

Go to your Vet instead. You'll probably get much better treatment. I'm kidding of course but don't you sometimes wish you could? Hope you can find answers that help you feel better soon.

I had a similar issue. I had major stomach issues and after CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, etc and not being able to find anything my doctor referred me to a GI Specialist. After waiting 2 hours to see this guy, he comes in, barely looks at me and writes me a prescription for pain pills because I thought I was making it all up to just to get my Oxy fix. Needless to say, I tossed his prescription in the trash on my way out and never went back. I hate doctors that don't care. Why are you in the profession if you have no people skills?
Don't allow your happiness to be interrupted by overly judgmental people. The problem is not you, because even if you do good all the time, they would still find a way to judge you wrongly.

I so sympathize with your experience. As you know, I'm currently dealing with the after effects of my own bad doctor's appointment, so I feel your pain and frustration...

I had a similar issue the first time I had kidney stones. I realize now that it was not a life-threatening issue. But I had never been in so much pain or so scared for my life. That sounds dramatic, but I had no clue what was going on. There was just so much pain. And then the ER dr says the X-rays show there was another on in the other kidney! I wanted to have it surgically remove right that moment! But the urologist blew me off. He seemed miffed that I made an appt when the results were in. Then he wouldn't answer my questions. I told him "My appt is 15 minutes" and I, literally, stood between him and the door until he answered my questions. The other one did pass and though it was just as painful, I knew I would live. I remember his nurses were very pleasant. She handed me a cup and I told her I was just here for the results. She smiled and said "You never come to a urologist appt without peeing in a cup". It was funny.
