I don't know whether to laugh or cry...

Poor Thor is going through teething and so far he's been seemingly pain free until today when I noticed one of his molars starting to come out. He's been crying and rubbing his face and licking his tongue like has has a mouthful of peanut butter. I'm trying to keep him occupied with ice and other teething relief, but I feel so bad for the poor guy. His cries are so pathetic and sad - reminds me of the noises he made the first week we had him when we started crate training. At the same time, the sounds are also hilarious - grunt, whine, cry, grunt again. I'm sitting here looking at him alternately with pity and giggles.

Feel better Thor! It's tough to watch those big molars come in but it goes pretty fast ... lots of ice cubes

Sending a lot of good wishes for Thor, so the teething trauma is over soon. I was lucky and so was Mel as her teething stage was pretty peaceful, but I'd have felt sorry for her too if I knew she was in pain and I must admit that some of the sounds they make do sound funny. Just try to take it easy, both of you, it'll be over soon.

Poor guy! Thor is only a day older than Molly, and I don't think she's had anything like that...yet!

    Hope he feels better soon!

I don't think Mocha went through that, but maybe that's why he chewed up the bread drawer!

He hadn't been showing any signs of teething (other than the missing teeth), but it was the first thing I checked when he was acting weird earlier today (with the tongue thing and the rubbing his face). One of his back molars has darkened and is coming out around the base (bloody gap). I can only assume that it's bothering him - it sure doesn't look comfortable. I'm keeping an eye on him and hopefully it comes out soon. Of course he still has all the others to go.

Aw poor Thor, we gave Maddie a frozen wash cloth tied in a knot to chew on when she was teething. But we watched her with it too.

Hunter didn't have too bad of a teething experience. I did give him a lot of ice cubes though and maybe when he chewed a giant hole into my temperpedic mattress all that expensive memory foam soothed the pain
