Wow! Hubby maybe warming up to Rocket Dog

    So quick back-ground...

We have a rescue (LeRoy the Mystery Dog) who is a sweet, compliant dog. We have the 7 year old impeccably trained Master Hunter. And then we got an insanely FC/AFC/NFC pedigreed field dog who is now 16 months and when she's excited she is as crazy as you've ever heard field dogs to be.

Hubby has spent a year saying "you have a mean dog. I hate your dog... she plays too rough with the other dogs" etc. But today he left the older dogs behind and took Rocket Dog out to do a tennis ball chase out on BLM land. Now... in training we have been working our @sses off getting her steady. Today, hubby was amazed at how tractable she was, how she watched the tennis ball that he hurled (with one of those launcher thingers) down the trail, how she sat at his side until he told her to fetch, and she went right to the area the ball fell, used her nose to come up with it, and then came back, sat at heel, and put the ball in his hand.

Hooray. Training pays off! Even pays off with spouses.

So glad it's starting to click! I love how you refer to your dogs - the Mystery Dog, Master Hunter and Rocket Dog. Says so much about their personalities.
