    E-collar for a 10 y/o? Dog (of course)

I've been sitting on the fence for awhile about getting an e-collar for Ram because I can't get through to him with "leave it" when we're outside. Every spring when the geese come back it's a pain in the butt.
When he's on leash he will leave it and sit and then he gets a treat, but we have to do that at every green poop we pass. And if he's off leash there is no way "leave it" works if he finds something to eat, which is what I'm most concerned about.

So my reason for being hesitant is because other that this issue he is perfect (for me). Does this mean that I expect my dog to be perfect?

I was thinking of this one because it comes in pink. No not really, be it does seem pretty easy to use.

I like the Tritronics Sport Basic G3, though it's a bit diff. now that Garmin merged with them. Same on the 1/2 mile radius. It has a beeper function that freaks the dogs out more than a shock. I bought this one so that I can control 2 dogs with one remote. I can still add a 3rd if needed.
