    Scary Evening

Heavy storms, about 4 inches of rain so far. Current storms have spawned tornadoes west of us with damage and some injuries. Lots of hail. This set of storms seem to be going a little west of us. Lots of thunder and lightening. Another set of storms coming which look like they might hit us; sure hope not.

Dogs are great, they do not have a problem with thunder. Thank goodness. Hope the power stays on. I don't want to be bailing the sump hole.

Heads up everyone in the Chicagoland area.

Just heard one confirmed death north of Rochelle, IL. A restaurant in the area with 12 people inside was totaled but all got out safe. This area is apparently small towns and farm lands.

We are on the tail end of heavy storms but all tornado warnings are cancelled. The rain is unbelievable. Another storm going through south of us more over Chicago. We dodged the worse of it. Mardi and Archie, thankfully, do not have problems with storms and are currently snoozing.

Our area is extremely good about not losing power; it may happen about once every year or two, of course during storms. My worry was the power going out and having to bail the sump hole. Had to do that in the past and it's hard work. Of course, DH is at work. He says it's a lot worse where he is, further west.

Saying prayers that no more lives will be lost.
