    Cat issue, need ideas

My Aunt had a stray cat hanging around her house. The cat plumped up, and then was suddenly thinner, and she thinks that she had kittens on March 30-31. The cat was injured (likely hit by a car) yesterday and did not make it. Nobody knows where she hid her kittens. Mt Aunt has looked all over her yard, around the house, looked in the neighbor's barn. She's asked all the neighbors to keep their ears open and look around, but does anyone here know of any places that are usual hideouts for a nest for cats? I'm not at all experienced with this.

    Thanks in advance.

Are porches around there open underneath? Low decks?

Garages....under bushes...basement window wells...anyplace somewhat secluded and not having a lot of foot traffic.

Do you have a feral cat coalition in your area? They might be able to help you out!

I hope you are able to find the kittens. Did you try higher up? Roof maybe. I know a stray kitten I ended up giving to my mom was found with his siblings on a roof. The mom was eaten by a dog.
