    Cleaning concrete?

We had a cast iron drain pipe replaced last week because the kitchen sink and dishwasher were clogged up. Black goo all over the basement concrete floor. It reeked and still does. I'm actually thinking Nature's Miracle but don't want to put multiple products on it because I can't really mop up the product very well since there are cracks. Any thoughts?

A dilution of Dawn dish soap and water? It's what the DH uses when some evil person drips oil onto the concrete drive!

Good idea. That won't react with anything else I put down. I almost wish it was oil. Good night but rotten food stinks.

1/2 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water is a pretty good cleaning brew. OdorXit is great for removing the smell. It's pricey but it works.

While not the most fun thing to do, but the bleach and water solution and a heavy duty scrub brush to really get it agitated and into the little nooks. Let dry completely and hit with Nature's Miracle.

I would try bleach and Dawn in the same mixture. A heavy duty scrub brush too. I would also put charcoal briquettes in a cardboard box and leave it down there for a few days since charcoal absorbs odors and is totally harmless.

Dawn should never be mixed with bleach. It has ammonia and when combined with bleach it gives off toxic fumes. Horrible idea in a confined space like a basement.
