Its funny how things pan out

I'm dog sitting for my in laws this weekend. I got two yellow labs by my feet and two wiener dog arm rests, one on each side.

Three years ago we only had two yellow labs in the family. Hunter and I knew that we would someday want a second dog. We had narrowed it down to another lab or possibly a Boykin and we decided that the best time for our new addition was when I finished school. Well, life had different plans for us, I started fostering and fell in love with my second foster. A teeny tiny little wiener dog! We were not little dog people at all but when the rescue handed me over that little puppy something just felt right and I signed the adoption papers a week later. When my MIL met little Lily she just loved her so much and set out to rescue one (much to my FIL's dismay).

Those three years came and went. I finish school in a little less than a month and I don't get my lab puppy (we are maxed out on dogs!) but I got everything I need right here:
