    peeing on flowers/plants

So Chili has found 2 favorite plants to pee on in the backyard. Normally I wouldnt care, but it is killing these plants. and I just envision once these 2 plants are completely dead, he will find 2 more leading to all my plants in the backyard dieing. anyone have any possible solutions to either save the plants or to curb his love for peeing on them?

Unless you are right there with him, able to correct and redirect, your only chance is to somehow block them off so he can't reach them. The best though, is to repeatedly go out on leash, correct him when he starts to go where you don't want him to and take him to something vertical that it's ok for him to pee on, praising effusively. You need to keep that up for quite some time though.

My D&H puts green chicken around all of the flower beds, just so Cooper doesn't pee on them. Or dig them up, or dig holes, or lay on them.

We never did get our 13 year old Bentley trained to not pee on the bushes; so we have decorative fencing around the most important plantings.

I put a fence around some flowering plant I'm trying to keep alive in spite of the dogs. It works most of the time. Sometimes they barrel through or jump over. It does keep Sam far enough away to stop his peeing on them though.

Archie is pretty lazy about peeing in the yard, he just leans forward most of the time. Have a clothes line supported in the middle and if he does lift his leg, it's on that support. Maybe pick a spot where it is OK for him to pee and encourage him to go there.
