Crate him for his own good.
I am not sure if anyone could offer suggestions on this one but I will give it a go. My Moby is in pain and the pain relievers aren't taking it all away. It is difficult to tell exactly what is wrong with him other than arthritis and probably some strain from over exertion yesterday. He is sort of a Velcro dog anyway but won't leave my side at all because he is hurting. I want him to lay down and rest but he won't stay still if I move so right now I am not moving. The restlessness with pain is something I have seen before with him. I am trying to manage the puppy and keeping him away from Moby as much as possible which is not easy. I feel bad sticking him in a room by himself but I also don't want him to move a lot. I am hopeful that with rest he will improve but how to keep him from following me around? And, I have to walk and exercise the other dog. And.. I am moving in two weeks.

Crate or baby gate in a room where he can keep an eye on you.
Amy was like that and I used an Xpen.

Ah, poor Moby!
I agree, gate or x-pen where he can see you so he will rest.

You have to feel horrible so that he will soon feel good. We have Oban gated downstairs because of his elbow. It probably was about three weeks before he accepted it and didn't gaze longingly up at us and try to bust through with us when we went through the gates.
