Was growing up during the Korean war and in the Vietnam era, DH served in both. I worked in an Army Hospital in Japan and saw many who were injured, some did not survive. Many high school classmates, many friends, and my first husband were among those who did not come home.
This weekend we remember those who gave, some giving all. Memorial Day is to remember all those who served and those serving now. The next generation for us. GS, is starting his adulthood in the Army in August, like my father, brother and DH.
Please take a moment during this time to remember say a prayer for those who have served and are serving now who keep our freedom free.
