    Mud!

I don't know what got into them yesterday! I mean, they always lay in the mud and smear it in real good, but for some reason yesterday was special. At one point Linus was on his face pushing himself through a muddy ditch with his back legs for about 20 feet. While I took one of these photos, Sam was behind me rolling on a dead salamander. Since he is black, it didn't show up so well, but in person I could see the slime stuck to his ear. So gross!

They look very ashamed of their digging mess, but I have a feeling that on the inside, they think it was so worth it!

Mine love it too, but yesterday was something else!

I just going to say Kelsyg has some mud pups too.

People pay good money for a mud bath like that and to think yours got it for free.

    That picture is hilarious

    LOL!!!!

We don’t have any mud simply because it hasn’t rained enough in weeks, but Chloe has been busily excavating a “den” for herself under a bush in the back yard for a couple weeks now. She gets FILTHY but it’s harder to tell because she is black. I’m hoping once she has the puppies next week (indoors in the nice whelping box we’ve set up for her!) she will lose interest in her excavations (which are at least 5 feet deep and 2 feet wide).

    LOL! Love the smiles.

Annette47 - You better watch out, Chloe sounds like she is digging herself a den even though she has a nice clean whelping box inside.

I keep telling her “Babies go in the box, not in the yard” but I’m not sure she is listening to me!
