I did something i have never done before

i was exhausted yesterday. weaning off pred, so it was a no pred day.

ate dinner at home, went upstairs, got into bed to watch t-v at 9 but nick was watching a Pearl Harbor movie and it wasn't doing it for me,
he took eli, downstairs, and a box of jelly donuts (still too scared to see how many he ate).
tried to find something to watch but, nah, fell asleep.
got up at 10:50, went to the bathroom, nick still downstairs.
    fell back to sleep.
woke up at 4, saw nick in bed, eli in crate, went back to sleep until 5 when i dragged myself downstairs to feed the doggies.

didnt wait to wash the bowls as i usually do, but let nick do it , and take them out back.
went back to bed, and fell asleep . that NEVER happens.
got up at 8 o'clock this morning.

actually, never, even as a teen, have done this.
    and don't feel rested yet.

went about my business, met a friend for lunch, got a gift for a special person who is 90 and having a party on sun (friend's uncle who is a dream boat).
came home, played with pups, washed a barf up from eli (at least he projectiles out of the crate onto a washable rug) and now, fighting to stay awake.

i feel like i have dropsy, if there is such a thing.

Weaning off a med can be tough. Sounds like you're doing well.

Wow, 90. Dream boat, that's funny.

he's smart, talented (jazz musician who has the entire talented family for jazz fests) , and took nick and i in, as "his own".
    nothing better than that.

his niece, is my very best friend for more than 30 years.

Neat. I love jazz. Dizzy, Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson to name only a few. What does he play?

he is the piano, son is drums, horns, daughter sings, and piano, and grand daughter outrageous drummer, as is another grandson.
he is as cool as one can be.
the best chanukah parties when his cronies were alive. jazz fest supreme.
i have him playing , a couple of years ago, on my iPad, and if i had a brain i'd know how to send it to you. made me a bit sad because on the keyboard, he was 35, then he got up, and wasn't.

Tough weaning off a med. Get some naps in and let your body adjust.

The gentleman sounds fantastic. Love to sit and listen to the stories of their lives.

If you weren't going of the pred, I'd suggest that you had a virus. There was something going around here that had my husband completely out of it for days.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Takes time for your body to adjust. Listen to it. And enjoy the jazz! Good for the body and soul kind of music, IMHO. And having a lovely gentleman friend as yours, will triple that good feeling to help your body mend. You need it after all you been through.

    Take care.
