Cooper is down ten pounds from last year

We went in for his heartworm check and he has lost 10 pounds in a year. He eats the same and we haven't changed his diet. We have to go back in a week for some tests. He is 14 and besides a little trouble getting up the stairs and the house pooping everything else is normal.
    Thanks Everyone!!

I would suggest a full senior blood panel for him.

Was this a weight loss you wanted to happen?

A full senior checkup with blood panel is what I would recommend.

No we weren't planning it or really aware of it. Everything is pretty normal for him so we were a little taken back. I believe that is what they are going to do in terms of blood work.
    Thanks Everyone!!

here's hoping the bloodwork comes back good. Does he look too thin to you? if his exercise is down, he could be losing muscle mass, which could account for some of the weight loss.

Could be all sorts of things. Hoping it’s nothing too serious for him.
