About once a week my wife will buy rawhides for my 3 dogs, one for each dog. What follows is a game of intrigue, deceit, thievery, and false alliances. One dog cannot be happy with one rawhide when there are other rawhides in the house. There will be taunting when one dog has a rawhide and another doesn't. There will be attempts to distract the dog with a rawhide so that the dog will temporarily forget the rawhide and the other dog can snap it up. A dog will take and hide a rawhide and then forget where he hid it, and then the rawhide will be discovered later by a different dog, who then taunts. Usually the dog carries the rawhide everywhere, even outside to potty, but if he or she forgets it, another dog will be lying in wait to steal it.
Here is a pic of Brutie this morning when he was temporarily winning:

Thanks so much for sharing! Enjoyed reading about your dogs' version of "Game of Thrones". Still have tears in my eyes from the laughter.
Is Brutie still winning?

Too funny!
Surprisingly, Mardi is the one who ends up with the loot. She's a lot quicker on the pickup than Archie and he does not challenge her.
It cracks me up all the little games dogs play with each other when it comes to stuff like that. My two will never steal from one another while one has possession, but as soon as it's dropped it's fair game. And it's usually charlie that's the hoarder. Love the Game of Thrones title. Hey its on tonight.
